Terms of service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and the operator of urliz.io ("urliz", "we", "us"). By creating an account, signing in, or using the urliz service in any way, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

If you are using urliz on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation, and "you" refers both to you personally and to that organisation.

You must be at least 13 years old to use urliz (or 16 if you are located in the European Economic Area). You also must not be barred from using the service under any applicable law, including export-control or sanctions regulations.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us when registering, for keeping your password and authentication factors confidential, and for everything that happens through your account. Notify us immediately at legal@urliz.io if you suspect unauthorised access. We strongly recommend enabling two-factor authentication.

You may close your account at any time from the settings page. Closing your account removes your access to dashboards and analytics; the disposition of your data is described in the Privacy policy.

urliz lets you create short URLs that redirect visitors to a destination URL you choose, with optional custom slugs, expiry rules, click limits, password protection, QR codes, and analytics. Some features are reserved for paid plans (see Plans and billing).

We may add, change, suspend or remove features at any time. We aim to give reasonable notice of material changes that reduce functionality you actively use.

You agree not to use urliz to create, host, distribute or link to:

• Content that is illegal, infringes intellectual-property rights, or violates third-party rights.
• Phishing pages, credential harvesters, fake login flows, or any content designed to deceive users into revealing information.
• Malware, ransomware, spyware, drive-by downloads, or any malicious payloads.
• Spam, unsolicited bulk messages, or content distributed through deceptive networks.
• Sexual content involving minors, non-consensual content, or content that exploits or endangers people.
• Content that promotes violence, terrorism, or threats against any person or group.
• Schemes that defraud, deceive, or financially harm visitors.
• Content that violates the laws of any jurisdiction in which the link is intended to be viewed.

You also agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the service except where applicable law forbids that restriction.
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system or network without our written permission.
• Interfere with the service, overwhelm our infrastructure, or bypass rate limits, access controls, or anti-abuse measures.
• Resell access to the service, or use it as the backbone of a competing URL-shortening product, without a written agreement with us.
• Misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organisation.
• Use the service to evade DMCA takedowns or any similar legal process directed at the destination URL.

We may refuse, suspend, or remove any link that we believe in good faith violates these rules, and we may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly do so.

You retain ownership of the destination URLs and any content you submit through the service (your "Content"). By using urliz, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, transmit, redirect to, display, and process your Content solely as needed to operate the service and provide it to you.

You represent and warrant that you have the rights necessary to shorten and share each destination URL you submit, and that doing so does not violate the rights of any third party or any applicable law.

urliz offers a free plan and one or more paid plans. Pricing, features and limits are described on the pricing page and are part of these Terms by reference.

Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time from the settings page; your subscription remains active until the end of the period you have already paid for. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable.

Taxes (such as VAT or sales tax) may apply on top of the listed price depending on your billing location.

If you connect a custom branded domain to your urliz account, you confirm that you control that domain and that nothing you do with it violates the rules above. You are responsible for keeping the domain registration current and the DNS configuration correct; we may suspend a custom domain that fails verification or is implicated in abuse.

urliz redirects to third-party destinations that you and other users choose. We do not endorse, control, or take responsibility for the content, accuracy, or safety of any destination. Visiting a short link is at your own risk.

The service relies on third-party infrastructure (hosting, edge caching, databases, email delivery, authentication and threat intelligence). Their availability is outside our direct control.

The urliz brand, logo, website, software and other materials we provide are protected by intellectual-property law and remain our property or the property of our licensors. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service in accordance with these Terms. We reserve all rights not expressly granted.

If you send us feedback, suggestions or ideas about the service, you grant us an unrestricted, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use them for any purpose, with no obligation to compensate or credit you. You are not required to send feedback.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, if continued use poses a risk to other users or to the service, or if we are required to do so by law. We will use reasonable efforts to notify you when feasible.

On termination, your right to use the service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including IP, user content, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution) will continue to apply.

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory or otherwise. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, and accuracy.

We do not warrant that the service will be available without interruption, free of bugs, or secure against every threat. You are responsible for evaluating whether the service is suitable for your use case.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, urliz, its affiliates, and its officers, directors, employees and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the service.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you have paid us for the service in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars (USD 100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above may not apply to you. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the smallest extent permitted by law.

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless urliz and its affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with (a) your use of the service, (b) your Content, (c) your violation of these Terms or any law, or (d) your violation of any third-party right.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The competent courts located in Tel Aviv, Israel will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service, except that we may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect our intellectual property or confidential information.

If you are a consumer, this section does not deprive you of the mandatory protections of the law of the country where you ordinarily reside.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of the page. If the changes are material, we will provide a more prominent notice (such as an in-product banner or an email) before they take effect. Your continued use of the service after the new Terms take effect constitutes acceptance.

Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy policy and any policies referenced from them, are the entire agreement between you and us about the service.

Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of that provision.

Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, or sale of substantially all of our assets.

Force majeure. Neither party will be liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, acts of civil or military authorities, internet outages, or labour disputes.
